Google Analytics (GA).

Many websites use Google Analytics (GA). It’s a comprehensive tool that tracks user interaction, such as how many people visit your website, how they move around it and how quickly they exit. However it can be a little intrusive on the privacy front. In fact, several countries within the EU have made using it illegal. Because of its intrusiveness, you’ll probably have to ask your users for consent if you use it on your website.

That means a pesky cookies consent box will pop up on your customer’s screen when they first arrive and adds a layer of friction to your websites content, but this is avoidable. Instead I can help install a simpler more privacy-friendly alternative called plausible.io. My own website uses Plausible Analytics – albeit a very simple setup — but It can cover more complex parameters.
